ABC Waters Programme

Launched in 2006, the ABC Waters Programme is a strategic initiative to improve the quality of water and life by harnessing the full potential of our waterbodies.

The ABC in the programme’s name stands for

Active

Beautiful

Clean

This programme hopes to beautify Singapore’s waterbodies, allowing Singapore’s reservoirs and waterways to transcend their main purpose of drainage and storage while also being a place of recreation and community bonding, while also encouraging Singaporeans to develop a sense of stewardship towards water.

Apart from the goal of integrating both community and functionality, the programme also pursues goals such as enlarging the water catchment to boost water supply and innovating new ways of tapping into the full potential of ABC sites.
